I’m passionate about leveraging data and technology to improve health. Currently, I’m pursuing a PhD in Population and Public Health at the University of British Columbia. For my PhD I am focusing on expanding my observational research skills using machine learning and the large, population-based data sets available in BC to study ovarian cancer. For a complete list of my past and ongoing work, click here. I’ve been lucky to receive several awards during my time at UBC, including the Killam Family Scholarship and Doctoral Canada Graduate Scholarship (ranked in the top 2% of applications). I am also a trainee co-lead of the Women’s Health Research Cluster.

I have a clinical background as a registered nurse. I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including cardiology, surgery, and home health. My experience as a nurse informs the work I do today. It motivates me to understand at an experiential level the impact my work can have in the lives of individuals.

When I’m out of the office, you’ll usually find me outside doing some activity. I love surfing, skiing, hiking, and horseback riding with friends or family, just to name a few.
